Offering gold and cheese just won't do it. If you want to get moving,
you'll have to scare the rat away from the cave entrance. Do this by
collecting ingredients for a swampsnake potion (in Zanthia's book, inside
the tree stump). If you're having trouble finding windy woof, maybe you're
not pronouncing it right? Another metaphor for windy might be "twisty".
THE TOWERS OF ANNOY :
Well, they certainly do just that. But deciphering the puzzle here is
not as hard as it looks. You will need to place all of the rings on each
head to open the little door at the bottom. You can do this if two rules
are remembered. First, a smaller disk CANNOT be placed on a larger one.
Second, you may only move one disk at a time. Keep working at it, and
you'll figure it out soon enough. Those that have played the ancient puzzle
"Towers of Hanoi" will solve it even sooner.
THE FIREFLY TREE :
Yet another puzzle, simple if you can remember the rules. Click on one of
the fireflies to find out the first note. (If the note/firefly happens to
be the the one you choose, that note will be repeated, and the next note
will be revealed. If your choice isn't the correct one, the correct first
note/firefly will light up.) Repeat and follow the sequence that the
fireflies show you. When you successfully repeat the entire sequence, the
fireflies will play a tune for you. What's all this good for? Try this
musical combination on the skull's teeth or outside the tavern to save
yourself some trouble later on...
EYE OF NEWT :
I suppose it wouldn't surprise you to learn that there is no Eye of Newt for
you to get! Instead, use a skeptic potion to wake up the entranced people
of Highmoon. You'll need Sweet and Sour Sauce, a Rabbit Footprint, a Lucky
Horseshoe, and Lizard Tears. Flasks of this serum can be enhanced by
placing them on a special altar nearby.
