WESTWOOD STUDIOS DOMINATES WINDOWS 95

Las Vegas, NV, September 19, 1996 - Higher resolution! Smooth scrolling! Head-to-head Internet play! And larger on-screen action are just a few of the exciting new features in the soon to be released Windows 95 version of Command & Conquer.

According to Brett W. Sperry, president and co-founder of Westwood Studios, "Our fans should be able to play the world's best-selling strategy game on the worlds best-selling operating system. And with this new version, we have added single-button Internet support, a larger battlefield, and enhanced high resolution graphics. All of this while maintaining 100% compatibility with the existing 1 million units sold."

Command & Conquer, one of the best-selling computer games of all time, is an action-packed strategy game that pits the peace-loving forces of the Global Defense Initiative against the dark terrorist forces of the Brotherhood of Nod. The game features over 35 missions, dozens of multiplayer maps, and two sides for gamers to play.

In less than a year, Westwoods dual CD-ROM game has sold more than one million copies and received numerous awards and accolades from gamers and journalists around the world.

Formed in 1985, Westwood Studios has consistently released mega-hit titles including: the Eye of the Beholder Series, Dune II, the Kyrandia adventure trilogy, Lands of Lore, The Lion King, and Monopoly for the Internet.
